Each EdTech Strategy Session includes two lightning talks, time for Q & A, and a thirty minute breakout session with the speaker of your choice! Sessions are held every second Friday of the month starting in October 2022 through April 2023.  Virtual Reality for Workplace Readiness with Erin Vobornik  Erin is going to share how Virtual Reality (VR) could be used in adult education and how it can be implemented in a low-cost, high-reward way!

The 2023 Winter Policy Forum will be held at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, February 15th from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET.  The Winter Policy Forum is a gathering for the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) state workforce members to discuss current and developing trends in the workforce system and how they will be affected by changes occurring in the national landscape. The meeting focuses on collaborating with representatives from the Administration, Congress, U.S. Dept. of Labor, Intergovernmental (IGO) partner organizations, WIOA partner groups, and other D.C. policy-making groups.

The Technology and Distance Learning Symposium is OTAN’s annual conference with dynamic, hands-on presentations and lively discussions that show participants how to integrate technology to enhance the learner experience, extend the classroom to learners through blended and distance learning, and help adult education programs be more effective and efficient.

Workforce issues are driving today’s headlines. Labor, industry, and supply chains are all experiencing disruptions whose origins our system is poised to address. For the sake of parents unable to access childcare, workers unable to find livable jobs, and communities struggling to persist through difficult times, the workforce system must rise to the occasion with creative solutions, like it always has.
