The Technology and Distance Learning Symposium is OTAN’s annual conference with dynamic, hands-on presentations and lively discussions that show participants how to integrate technology to enhance the learner experience, extend the classroom to learners through blended and distance learning, and help adult education programs be more effective and efficient.

Each EdTech Strategy Session includes two lightning talks, time for Q & A, and a thirty minute breakout session with the speaker of your choice! Sessions are held every second Friday of the month starting in October 2022 through April 2023.  Virtual Reality for Workplace Readiness with Erin Vobornik  Erin is going to share how Virtual Reality (VR) could be used in adult education and how it can be implemented in a low-cost, high-reward way!

The TSTM-SkillBlox research team is rolling into another exciting EdTech Maker Space project. As they develop content to support the integration of Teaching Skills That Matter, this Maker Space will focus on designing activities for the nine skill areas.  Join the Info Session to hear more about the project background, goals, logistics, and how to get involved.  Register now!

We’re harnessing the power of educators through an EdTech Maker Space to locate and curate high-quality Open Educational Resources (OER) that align to these Teaching Skills That Matter topic areas: Civics, Health Literacy, Financial Literacy, and Workplace Readiness. TSTM is an initiative led by our partners the American Institutes for Research and funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education with the goal of supporting instruction of transferable 21 Century skills. During this info session, join us to hear more about the research study behind this project, what participants can expect to learn and create, and the project logistics.

Join NAWDP for the 38th Annual Conference May 16-18, 2022 in Las Vegas to learn about best practices and strategies on how we can reimagine workforce by raising the bar for the skill sets of workforce professionals, looking at how our workforce programs are funded, new ways to determine our purpose in the communities we serve, and creating new workforce partnerships. 

The American Educational Research Association's 2022 Annual Meeting will take place in San Diego, CA, April 21-26, 2022. The theme is "Cultivating Equitable Education Systems for the 21st Century."
